Steel or aluminum shafts for hot rods, muscle cars and classics. Smooth and quiet at highway speed.
Performance shafts →A strength upgrade for high-performance street and strip cars making serious torque.
1350-series u-joints and heavy-wall tubing for high-horsepower, nitrous and drag racing builds.
Race shafts →6061-T6 aluminum, usually several pounds lighter than a comparable steel shaft, for less rotating mass.
Steel vs aluminum vs chromoly →4130 chromoly tubing: more strength for its weight than mild steel, for serious horsepower and abuse.
Chromoly →CV double cardan, spline-and-slip and transfer-case slip-yoke shafts for lifted trucks and Jeeps.
4x4 shafts →Single and two-piece shafts with center support bearings for 3/4- and 1-ton pickups, diesels, vans and work trucks.
Heavy duty →Custom driveshafts for equipment and machinery, built to your dimensions or from a sample shaft.

The most common driveline causes are an out-of-balance driveshaft, worn u-joints, a bad center support bearing, or incorrect driveline angles after a lift or drop. We can inspect, rebuild and re-balance your shaft to find and fix it.
Custom and performance driveshafts are available in 1310, 1330, GM 3R, 7260, 7290, 1350, 1410, 1480 and 1550 series. Heavy duty driveshafts are available in 1610, 1710, 1760, 1810, SPL170 and SPL250 series. Industrial driveshafts are available in 687.50 up to 390.60, including 15C and J1200 series.
The series describes the u-joint size. 1310 is common on stock cars and light trucks. 1330 has the same cap diameter as 1310 but a wider span. 1350 has larger caps and a wider span, which makes it a lot stronger. Bigger series handle more torque.
Consider 1350 for high horsepower, nitrous, drag racing, heavy towing, or big tires on a 4x4. If you're breaking u-joints or yokes, it's usually time to step up a series.
Yes. Every shaft is built to fit your vehicle exactly. We'll walk you through measuring, and if the vehicle is apart or you're unsure, you can bring in your old shaft to use as a template.
Yes. After a lift, lowering, or a transmission or rear-end swap, we can cut and re-weld your shaft to the new length, or add tubing, then re-balance it. Using a longer slip yoke to "make it fit" isn't a safe fix.
Steel is strong and cost effective. Aluminum is lighter, with less rotating mass and a higher critical speed. Chromoly is stronger than mild steel for its weight, so it handles serious horsepower and abuse. Tell us your horsepower and use and we'll recommend one.
Yes. Beyond performance and custom vehicle builds, we build heavy duty truck driveshafts and custom industrial and equipment driveshafts. Send dimensions, photos or the old shaft for a quote.
Greaseable u-joints should be greased at every oil change, and more often for off-road or water crossings. Sealed (non-greaseable) u-joints are lubed for life and don't need grease.
Usually it's too small a u-joint series for the power, a low-quality parts-store joint, a damaged or out-of-round yoke, or driveline angles that are out of spec. We can find the root cause so it stops happening.
